Bear Lake is one of the prettiest lakes in all of Utah. If you're planning a wedding around Bear Lake, renting a cabin and using the backyard as your venue is a great option! Tucked up in the mountains of Northern Utah, it's out of the way, but the colors of the water and the mountain views all around offers a practically perfect location for your wedding.
This couple found a cabin with not only a fabulous view of the lake, but it also had a nice, well groomed backyard with little beauties all around like the pond in the picture above. That makes for a great day and gorgeous pictures! As we often say, after your wedding is over, you'll have your memories and your photos. Having a great venue with options for pretty pictures is a must!
With that said, it doesn't have to be over the top to be gorgeous. Pretty photos can be created with just a small little backdrop. A rock wall or a small garden can make for stunning photos. Also when you're looking at the photos after, there's a good chance you'll care less about the background than how you look. So while you're taking photos, make sure you take your time to fluff your dress or smooth out the veil before your photographer starts snapping. There's something to be said for a great candid photo, but taking time to get everything just perfect is good too! One thing about choosing a location around Bear Lake, you can get the best of both worlds. There are so many places for small, close up photos with pretty little backgrounds, but there are also grand sweeping views. Either way, you can't go wrong finding your perfect venue at Bear Lake.
