When driving into Cache Valley, located in the northern Utah mountains, you would expect a ski resort or two in the area. Luckily for the residents, Cache Valley recently acquired another ski resort. Tucked in the foothills of the little community of Richmond, Utah, you can find the newest ski resort in Utah. It's a beautiful drive through the farming town, then up a little canyon. It almost seems like the ski resort appears out of nowhere. The lodge boasts the woodsy outdoor feel you'd expect from a ski resort, but it has so much charm in a small space. It makes for the perfect location for engagement photos. It doesn't even need to be in the winter. It includes everything from the wooden balconies to the tree and mountainside background! What a gorgeous venue, not only for weddings, but also for engagements, family photos and any other session a photographer's heart desires. On this beautiful afternoon, the sky was threatening rain, so we spent much of our session time sticking close to the building. Totally worth it for a romantic moment on balcony. The clouds made the lighting even softer and prettier. I can't wait to travel back up to Cherry Peak Ski Resort for another session!
